Good bye 2023 - Hello 2024 -All you need is ...........
To close the year of 2023, I thought of sharing an article I wrote many years ago. Perhaps it could serve as a reminder of how we can make 2024 a new and exciting year. A year filled with great self-discoveries, personal growth that will reflect on the type of business, career and circumstances we want to create and be involved in.

Right now, there is so much negativity in the world! Pain surrounds us in forms of hatred, corruption, greed, land oppressions, war resulting in hopelessness and distraught. Why is it there? The answer is really quite simple; so simple in fact, that many people might find it difficult to believe and accept.

The negativity exists due to do the belief and value systems and perception we are holding within our minds. That belief system originates from our environment and influence sphere when we were young and perpetually reinforced even in our adulthood.   That is why I believe understanding history and its outcomes is important, so we can learn from it. When there is an understanding of its history, we can make changes.

How we perceive and understand life is through the lenses of that belief system, buried in our subconscious mind, expressed in our behaviour and language.

Have you heard this before:”That’s my mother’s recipe? Men don’t cry? That’s the way it is? Just do what I say? Children should be seen and not heard; My teacher or father used to say ......”

Our esteem and inner confidence are molded by words and behaviours of others and how we interpret them.  Above all whether we believe it to be truth.  It takes courage and an open mind to decipher and unravel the mysteries of the subconscious to come to place of real authenticity.

For example, when we experience lack of love for ourselves, this lack is projected in all aspects of our lives; from our daily activities to the people with whom we are involved.

Would that project the real you, the original you, the authentic you?

The opposite of authentic is pseudo.

The word “pseudo” is used to indicate something that is false, fake or fraudulent. It's not so much that we are fake, but rather our pseudo self is based on belief and value systems that have been conditioned by the people who have surrounded us; our parents, the school system, our role models, our environment, our culture, our religion, etc.

By loving ourselves, we find our way back to the original, unique individuals that was intended by the Great Architect, God, Allah, Universe, and the Source.

To project positive energy into the world, we need to re-discover our “authentic self”.

Our authenticity starts with the awareness of the “I AM” in me; the “real me”, the “beautiful me”, the genesis of our being.

The “authentic self” lies inside my heart and only through love, joy, patience, peace, understanding, compassion, kindness and acceptance to self, do I begin to feel the virtues which originate from the inner core of my being.

It is a composition of melodious and harmonic vibrations of emotions and thoughts that flow rhythmically with the natural laws of the Universe. Guess who is the orchestra leader?
Yes! Me!

Finding out who we really are requires effort and commitment to seek inwardly and confidence to believe and accept that we are complete, whole beings.

In her book entitled “You Can Heal Your Life”, Louise Hay writes: “In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lack. I now choose to begin to see myself as the Universe sees me – perfect, whole, and complete. I will always be perfect, whole and complete. I now choose to live my life from this understanding. I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. All is well in my world”.

If you were to stand in front of the mirror, and really take some time to look at yourself (and I mean take the time) what would you see?

Try this exercise one day and become aware of what is going through your mind and body as you are looking at your reflection.

Look at your eyes – Look into your eyes.  My mother always said that the eyes are the windows of the soul.

What thoughts come up for you? Where do these thoughts come from? How did they make you feel? Who is that “story teller” in your head? Who validated the thoughts that just appeared? Are there reasons for feeling that way? Can you state with certainty and with honesty that you love yourself, 100%.

Are you pleased with what you think, see, and feel?

The love we possess for ourselves is projected in positive ways in all areas of our lives and affects our family, friends and community at large. What is projected into the world all begins from within!

Tap into that unconditional love that is within reach, stowed away in your soul.

Discover, believe and accept, there is a beautiful “I AM” in you; ALWAYS!

If you want to talk more about this with me you can book a call and let’s talk how you can discover your authentic self.
